Indian economy continues to see high growth
The Indian economy continues to perform strongly after figures showed annualised growth of 8.6% in the three months to March – primarily due to growth in manufacturing.
The economy for the year ending March 2010 grew by 7.4% – slightly exceeding the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) forecast of 7.2%.

The Government’s decision to scrap Home Information Packs (HIPs) has resulted in a surge of new instructions.
The UK’s biggest estate agency has reported that the number of homes being put up for sale has risen by a third since 20th May, when ministers called time on the packs.

A reader sent us this video of how the USSR plugged a gas well that was burning and leaking out of control.
