John Madden Just Relisted His NYC Apartment At $1 Million Loss

Sports legend, John Madden, just relisted his apartment in the legendary Dakota for $3.9 million.
Madden originally listed the place for $4.9 million last April, and then took it off the market when it wasn’t selling.
Madden bought the apartment from comedian Gilda Radner in 1985 for about $625,000. Radner bought the apartment in 1979 for only $150,000, when the NYC real estate market was in a deep slump.
Madden is selling, because he and his family don’t get to NYC as much as they used to. They spend most of their time on the west coast, where Madden appears on a daily radio show in San Francisco.
The apartment has just under 2,000 square feet

The Nationals’ Other Young Phenom, Stephen Strasburg, Hit His First Career Home Run
Nine starts into his comeback from Tommy John surgery, Stephen Strasburg is as good as ever on the mound. But today he showed that he can also swing the lumber at the plate, hitting his first career home run.
Unfortunately, he also left the game early with what he described as his arm being tired and part of the normal process of returning from surgery.
But at the plate, Strasburg, and his fellow phenom teammate Bryce Harper, have now combined to hit three home runs, the same number as Albert Pujols.

Chelsea Upset Bayern Munich To Win The Champions League With This Penalty Kick
In a huge upset, and in dramatic fashion, Chelsea came from behind to tie Bayern Munich 1-1 in regulation time and then won The Champions League final 4-3 on penalty kicks.
Bayern dominated the match with 56% of the possession time and 20 corner kicks. But after Bayern finally broke through in the 83rd minute, Didier Drogba returned the favor, heading home the equalizer in the 88th minute on Chelsea’s first corner of the match.
The match went to extra time where Chelsea survived another scare, this time a foul on Drogba in the box giving Bayern a penalty kick. But Petr Cech made the save and the match went on to penalty kicks.
Again Chelsea fell behind after Juan Mata missed the first PK attempt. But after Bayern missed their fourth and fifth tries, Drogba went to the spot with a chance to give Chelsea their first Champions League Cup, and he delivered.
Here’s the final goal…

JOSH HAMILTON: How The Former Can’t Miss Prospect Overcame Drug Addiction To Become Baseball’s Biggest Superstar

Josh Hamilton is tearing the cover off the baseball this year.
His numbers on the season are off the charts: his batting average is above .400, he has 18 home runs and 45 RBI, and an OPS around 1.300.
They reached those gargantuan levels after a recent six-game span that included 9 home runs, with a record-tying four of them coming in a single game.
Hamilton was supposed to be winning MVP awards and leading his team to the World Series as a member of the expansion Tampa Bay Devil Rays, but numerous off-the-field issues derailed him.
Now he’s back to playing at a high level for the Texas Rangers and on the cusp of not only breaking records, but signing a fat new contract when he hits free agency this winter.
The Tampa Bay Devil Rays drafted Josh Hamilton out of high school first overall in 1999, giving him a then record signing bonus of $3.96 million
